#8 - Before You Set Your Resolutions, Remember Who You've Been
We tend to overestimate what we can accomplish in one year and underestimate what we can do in five years. This episode explores what it may look like for you to examine your life in five-year chunks instead of one-year intervals. In the following years, 2008, 2013, and 2018, ask yourself...
What was your profession?
Who was your partner?
What was the theme of that time in your life?
What dramatically changed in between those five years?
How did you feel about the change or lack thereof?
How do you feel now?
What were your values at this time?
How did they change?
How have they changed compared to where you are now?
What achievements did you have during this period?
What did those achievements gain for you?
What did they cost you?
What were the highs and lows during this period?
Is a pattern emerging anywhere as you consider your life in these five-year chunks?
